Energy as a production process input has an effective role on economic indicators such as gross domestic production (GDP). Limitations in fossil fuel and nuclear energy sources urge utilizing renewable energies. In this paper, the impact of renewable energy consumption on economic welfare indicators (i.e. GDP, GDP per capita, annual income of urban households, and annual income of rural households) is investigated. For this purpose, 41 annual data sets are collected, from 1971 to 2011, mostly from Iran’s Statistical Yearbook and Iran’s Balance Sheet. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are used for forecasting the effect of renewable energy consumption on economic welfare indicators. Advantages in using the proposed ANN-based method are demonstrated by comparing its results with the multi-layer regression (MLR) model. The comparison between the artificial neural network and the multi-layer regression model demonstrates that the artificial neural network has more accurate results than the multi-layer regression model. Both ANN and MLR models show significant effect of using renewable energies on the economic welfare. Results demonstrate the importance of using the proposed model for policy makers in implementing new policies for renewable energies. The ANN prediction results show that GDP, GDP per capita, annual income of urban households, and annual income of rural households will grow by 35.63%, 62.59%, 167.61% and 143.19%, respectively, from 2007 to 2016.

ICT has been considered a crucial player in environmental quality in the present age of industrial revolution and technological advancement. This study, therefore, seeks to examine the effects of ICT on environmental quality including technological innovation in selected Asian developing countries. A panel data that spanned from 1990 to 2018 is utilized to pursue the objectives of this study by applying second-generation panel approaches. In the long run, an inverted U-shaped relationship between the ICT index and CO2 emission is found by FEM and FMOLS estimators, indicating that environmental pollution decreases after attaining a threshold level of ICT development in selected Asian developing countries. The study reveals that technological innovation has a negative and significant influence on reducing CO2 emission, leading to energy efficiency and diminishing the intensity of energy used by inventing environmentally friendly technologies. Besides, electricity consumption and economic growth have positive and significant effects on the environment however, a negative and significant effect is found in the case of trade openness. The interactive effect of ICT and economic growth decreases the level of pollution while the moderate effect of ICT and technological innovation worsens the environmental quality in sample countries. The findings reveal that the role of ICT and technological innovation in mitigating environmental degradation still needs improvement in sample countries. The use of environmentally friendly ICT products and more green technological innovation are needed to improve energy efficiency by providing more fiscal incentives and infrastructures and enforcing environmental laws and regulations in the sample countries.

The talented and capable Human Resource is the main competitive advantage for any organization, and in the light of this competitive advantage, deficiencies and shortcomings of other resources will also be compensated. Hence, studying how the three variables of Talent Management, Human Resource Productivity, and Organizational Creativity can affect each other in any organization can reveal the latent potentials of Human Resources. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between Talent Management and Human Resource Productivity, considering the mediating role of Organizational Creativity in Shiraz Water Company (Known as ABFA). The statistical population of this study includes 130 experts and managers of ABFA. According to Cochran formula, 97 research sample was calculated, who filled out the questionnaires. Questionnaire was the main tool for data collection and measurement of research variables and Cronbach’s Alpha was used to determine the reliability of the variables. In addition, SPSS and LISREL were used for data analysis. As a result, the relationship between Talent Management and Productivity, as well as the relationship between Organizational Creativity and Productivity, was positive, but the relationship between Talent Management and Organizational Creativity was only positive at the graduated level (MA and PhD experts and managers). Given these relationships, it can be concluded that the Organizational Creativity (as a mediating variable) can have a positive impact on the relationship between the two other variables at Shiraz Water Company.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of workplace coaching on employees’ performance in Malaysia mediated by rewards and recognition. Many studies in the past examined the influence of coaching on employee performance, the relationship between coaching and rewards and recognition, as well as the impact of rewards and recognition on employee performance. However, there is limited research on the influence of coaching and employee performance mediated by rewards and recognition appears to have been conducted or examined. There is also inadequate literature on the impact of rewards and recognition on coaching. Based on the critical review of research literature, the questionnaire for this research was developed and divided into three sections based on dependent, independent and mediating variables. In this research, the dependent variable is employee performance, independent variable is coaching, and the mediating variable is rewards and recognition. The conceptual framework is developed using the assumptions of Motivation Theories, Social Exchange Theory, Reinforcement Theory and Psychodynamic Theory. The research used survey approach with a Likert Scale-based survey questionnaire (with 1 to 5 scale – from strongly disagree to strongly agree). The sampling technique adopted for respondent’s selection is convenient sampling. Total of 200 questionnaires are distributed to employees in Malaysia who have had experience in being either a coach or a coachee at a workplace. SPSS Amos Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Regression Analysis are used to analyze the data collected. Based on the finding from this research it is found that coaching has a 31.8% positive impact on employee performance, 63.5% positive impact on Rewards, while rewards have a 39.2% impact on employee performance and impact of coaching on employee performance is mediated by rewards has an effect size of 24.9% . Future research should consider looking into other possible mediating factors; consider larger samples looking into different sectors and a different approach in the moderation effect such as demographic profiles of coaches and coachees. The foreseen limitation of this research is the sample size which may not represent the entire workforce population and work sectors in Malaysia. On the other hand, this research has only considered the mediating factors of rewards and recognition while there could be other mediating factors that could influence employee performance. There is also an opportunity in the future to examine different types of coaching and relationship between coach and coachee that may add value to the practical usefulness of the findings.

Income convergence or income similarity is defined as crack of income per capita between two trade companies in a way that fewer cracks carries more income similarity or convergence and more crack carries income divergence. Income convergence plays important role in developing trade relationship with this explanation that whatever countries are match in terms of income, they will have closer demand and more same economic policies and they will have enough economic justification in developing trade and forming trade blocks. In this study, the existence of interaction of income convergence and developing trade flows and study of tax tariffs in countries member in OPEC group with using of gravity model has been studied. To do this, a gravity trade model is used. The results indicate that trade flow of country i to country j in time t has had negative effect on income crack. GDP of country i in time t has had positive effect on income crack. GDP of country j in time t has had negative effect on income crack. The population of exporter country in time t has had negative effect on income crack. The population of importer country in time t has had positive effect on income crack. Opening degree of the economy of importer country (the way of calculating this index from the ratio of total export and import to GDP) has had negative effect on income crack. The variable of tax tariffs has had positive effect on income crack. Physical distance of country i from country j based on Kilometer has not had significant effect on income crack. The variable of trade policy has not had significant effect on income crack. The index of same line and language has not had significant effect on income crack.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy with job burnout among primary school teachers in Babol (Mazandaran, Iran). This is a descriptive correlational study clearly based on structural equation modeling (SEM). The participants of this study were 225 of public primary school teachers in Babol in academic year 2013-14 that were selected via cluster random sampling method. Participants completed Maslach and Jackson's Job Burnout Inventory (MBI) (1996), Teacher Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (by Tschannen-Moran, Woolfolk, 2001) and Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (by Schutte, 1998) and reliability and validity of these questionnaires were obtained. Results of Pearson correlation showed that all emotional intelligence, job burnout and self-efficacy components are mutually correlated with each other (p <0.01(. Implementing structural equation modeling (SEM) for casual relationship between emotional intelligence and job burnout through mediator variable self-efficacy, we found that the proposed model has a good fit and burnout is well explained by emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. Also all of the model path coefficients were significant.

This study aims to identify the factors affecting productivity management and rank its improvements within government service organizations. In terms of the type of data, this is a descriptive, applied, and inferential survey, and it is both qualitative and quantitative. This paper follows a three-step process. The theoretical sampling method was thus used to select a sample of 15 productivity experts from within the university and managers from government organizations in Tehran province for semi-structured interviews. It is a specialized sampling method. The interviews were analyzed using NVivo Plus software. Additionally, 102 items were derived from the interviews, based upon open coding, and classified into 21 sub-indexes and two main indices. As part of the second stage, the quantitative aspect of the research, Shannon Entropy, was used to determine the importance of various factors affecting productivity management. The third stage of ranking productivity improvement strategies in public service organizations utilized the MABAC method. The results showed that the indices of accountability, work experience, interdepartmental challenge, expertise and skill, flexibility, interdepartmental communication, training, workload, structure transparency, information and communication technology, organizational culture, safety and health, research and development, leadership style, innovation, and creativity, respectively, gained the highest degree of importance among the factors affecting the productivity management of government service organizations. Further, research findings indicate that improving service efficiency, improving service standards, improving service effectiveness, developing a program to improve service productivity, encouraging leadership involvement, and establishing periodic monitoring are the most effective strategies for improving productivity in government service organizations.
